We are seeking a motivated and skilled Yardsman to join our client in a timber yard environment. As a Yardsman, you will be responsible for operating a forklift to efficiently move timber, as well as providing excellent customer service and maintaining a clean and organised yard. Your role will also involve manual heavy lifting and occasional computer use for logistical purposes.

Responsibilities:

* Operate a forklift to safely and efficiently move timber within the yard
* Assist in loading customer vehicles, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer needs and inquiries
* Maintain a clean and organised yard by tidying up and arranging timber and other materials
* Perform manual heavy lifting when necessary
* Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations and assist in other areas as required
* Utilise computer systems for logistical tasks as needed

Requirements:

* Valid OSH ticket (or willingness to obtain one)
* Proven experience operating a forklift in a busy timber yard or similar environment
* Strong customer service skills with the ability to effectively communicate and assist customers
* Physical strength and stamina to perform manual heavy lifting and handle timber materials
* Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in loading and organising timber products
* Ability to work as part of a team and adapt to changing priorities
* Basic computer skills to assist with logistical tasks
