Are you an Ex carpenter or cabinet maker, looking for a change? We are in need of an Yard Supervisor to work along side a small team renovating recycled material.

This Yard Supervisor is a vital role to the efficient day to day operation of the company's yard and they are looking for someone mature with a go-getter attitude.

Our Client is one of New Zealand's largest retailers in new and recycled renovation material and they are looking for someone with supervisory or management experience who come from a carpentry/cabinet making and wood working background to join the team.

In addition to working along side the team, you will also be required to prioritise jobs and client requirements. You will be presentable and professional and flexible enough to step in for the sales person and deal with clients directly.

You will be physically fit and able to do heavy lifting. Candidates with a current forklift license will be highly regarded and your technical aptitude from a trade environment will come in handy.

You will have excellent communication, interpersonal and diplomacy skills, show confidence, drive and be persuasive.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Leading and motivating a small team
* Observing and implementing H&S regulations
* Supervising and checking all incoming stock deliveries
* Overseeing all workshop activities
* Quality control of all recycled goods prior to sale
* Involvement in demolition/deconstruction projects
* Working on site with sledgehammers and hand tools

You will be highly organised, a self starter who can take control and show initiative. You will be an excellent team player and able to solve problems on the spot. Experience with carpentry hand tools will be preferable.
