Workshop Assistant - Automotive

We are currently seeking a Full Time Workshop Assistant for a position based in the Mount. Ideally an individual that has a passion and interest for the Automotive Industry and is keen to learn and gain experience in this field. This exciting opportunity will be diverse and challenging. We will need someone who knows how to use their initiative, great knowledge & understanding of the Automotive industry - specifically within the Trucking industry (desired)

You will need to be reliable and motivated, enjoy interacting with others and have a desire to further your education. You will assist the Mechanic with day to day running of the Trucks and vehicles, attending to the workshop and external enquiries, collection and delivery of parts, picking and dispatching of parts and general housekeeping. You will need to be organised, positive and enjoy the challenge of performing under time restraints.

Requirements of this position:

• Minimum - Full Class 1 Licence
  • Full Class 2 (desired but not required)
    • Can start Immediately
      • Knowledge & understanding of the Automotive Industry
        • Can do the basics (changing tyres, checking oil etc.)
          • Willing to learn and take instructions
            • Reliable and trustworthy
              • Flexible with hours (May be required to work weekends)
                • Physically fit and injury free
                  • Clean Driving record
