Join a leading Auckland based civil engineering contractor specialising in drainage, pipeworks tunneling, earthworks and wastewater projects. They have a vacancy for a Working Foreman to take responsibility for site activities, reporting to the Project Manager. The company have an excellent reputation in the Auckland market, and a strong forward work load.

Candidates should have a strong understanding and experience in:


* 5 years plus NZ experience running gangs of trades and labour, and operating machinery on civils projects, (Drainage, Eartworks,Pipewors,Tunnels and Wastewater).
* Health & Safety, Environmental and QA Supervision. Implementing site specific plans, conduct regular toolbox meetings and carry out audits.
* Supervision of onsite staff. Time keeping, ensuring a high level of productivity and maintaining a strong team environment.
* Reading of plans and specifications.
* Forward planning
* Working in different ground conditions.

The role would suit a candidate who has extensive NZ experience as a Foreman/Supervisor on civil construction sites, particularly large drainage/earthworks/tunnel/pipeworks/wastewater sites. Excellent communication skills, man management and the ability to work unsupervised are essential.
