Our clients who are iconic engineering companies in Christchurch are looking for skilled welder fabricators/ fitter welders to join their teams in a mixture of workshop and site based roles in the city.

Our clients predominantly provide engineering solutions for the heavy industrial / transport sector both locally and overseas, so ideally you will come from a similar background or at least have good experience welding heavy and large components. Welding will be your main skills in these roles, but if you have good experience in fabrication, fitting or machining would be a bonus.

We are looking for someone reliable and with advanced welding skills so they can hit the ground running. Our clients are long-standing businesses in this industry and are still humming along despite COVID. These are excellent opportunities if you are an experienced tradesman who is looking for long term stability.

in summary, we would love to hear from you if you posses the following,

* Good experience with mild steel
* Good experience in Mig, Stick/Arc, flux core
* Current welding tickets is highly desirable
* Ability to weld vertical and overhead is highly desirable
* Able to read drawings
* Must have good communication skills - NZ work experience is ideal

These roles are all Mon- Fri day based role. Some of our clients do offer overtime rates as well.
