Our client is New Zealand's largest seed company. Their objective is to enhance the profitability of farmers and growers by providing them with grass and forage seeds that provide high quality feed for raising animals. They run a busy operation just outside of Palmerston North and are seeking new staff to join their team.

The Role:

We are seeking 4 people for a full-time, temporary labouring role in their seed processing team, and 1 person in a forklift operation role. No previous experience is required but is preferred. You will quickly become part of the team, and have the following responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for loading bags of different seeds into processing machines, checking order slips, bagging product, and loading bags onto pallets within a warehouse. These machines will mix the seed with protective chemicals before dispatch to the farms.
• This is a highly physical role. You and the team will be lifting 20kg bags of seed consistently throughout the day during processing

  Hours and Pay Rate:

  This role is Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm starting as of 25/Jan and will be running until approximately Easter. The pay rate for this role is $19.00 per hour for labourers and $21.00 per hour for forklift operators.

  Skills and Attributes:

  • Experience in labouring is preferred but not essential.
  • Ability to lift 20kg consistently throughout the day.
  • You own reliable transport is essential as this position is a 10-minute drive north of Palmerston North.
