Job description

Our client is a global player specialising in fluid transfer solution products and services. They are wanting to appoint a Warehouse Assistant in their National Distribution Centre in Auckland.

This facility provides full support to their franchise network and original equipment manufacturing customers. The key function of the facility is on time product supply and distribution across the country, including hose assembly, testing and certification.

This opportunity is best suited to a person with good mechanical / technical aptitude, service focussed and effective attention to detail. This is a hands-on role that requires commitment, enthusiasm, great work ethic and being a great team player.

Based in East Tamaki and reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the role will include, but will not be limited to:
* Container unloading - Heavy lifting involved, you need to be strong and fit
* Stock replenishment
* Stock picking
* Hydraulic & industrial hose assembly
* Hose testing
* Cyclic stock takes
* General warehousing duties
* Customer service
* Preparation of freight bookings
* Administration
* Quality checks

* Clean manual/auto licence

Previous experience within the hose and fitting industry is preferred but not essential. Product and business processes training will be provided and further career opportunities may exist. After hours availability may be required along with some flexibility around working hours.

Having a forklift licence is preferable and as some heavy lifting is required, so an appropriate level of fitness is necessary.

Wages will be subject to experience, and will be negotiated with the successful applicant.
