Resonant Consulting Limited is a multi-disciplinary surveying and engineering firm with offices in Palmerston North, Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch.

Senior Urban Designer

As a Senior Urban Designer, you will be joining their team of engineers and surveyors to provide Urban Design expertise and advice. This role is based in Palmerston North and is a full-time position.

You will be able to work closely with the staff, clients and councils on a range of Urban Design projects in both the private and public sectors.

The work includes input and preparation of housing plans, master planning and precinct planning, preparing urban design principles and policy and urban design inputs to district plan reviews.

To be successful in this role, you will ideally display the following qualities:

• Demonstrable ability to conceptualise a project and help support the delivery of their clients' Urban Design requirements
• Experience in the preparation of urban design reports and/or policy, and preparation of graphic material (e.g. concept drawings, plans and sections)
• Completed an urban design or similar qualification
• Previous work experience in an Urban Design role
• Ability to support and promote interdisciplinary teams
• Outstanding communication skills both written and verbal
• Proven experience in building rapport and trust with key clients
• Experience and competence with Microsoft Office, CAD and/or Revit
• Ability to contribute on multiple levels within the design process
• Ability to meet deadlines, on time and on budget

    A Bachelor's Degree in Planning, Architecture, Landscape Architecture or Urban Design is required.

    A Master's degree in one of those fields is desirable.
