Apprenticeships have come a long way. In fact, certified plumbers and gasfitters are so in demand and critical to the success of the building industry, that they now have their very own training entity to deliver a more agile approach to teaching.

We’re looking for an expert on the tools who is ready to use their skills and experience in a new way — tutoring the next generation of talent. The role involves hands-on, practical teaching and assessments as well as contributing to programme development so training continues to meet the individual needs of trainees.

Naturally, you will receive plenty of Standards-based training and support to maximise your success as you transition to this exciting new career and build your tutoring capabilities.

In addition to your NZ Qualifications in Plumbing, Gasfitting and maybe Drainlaying, you’ll have years of practical experience on the tools and plenty of good stories about how you’ve supported apprentices in the workplace.. Here, your passion for the industry and affinity with young people — most importantly, how to communicate with them — defines your personality and sets you apart.
