My client is a well respected manufacture & supplier to the commercial construction industry. Providing architecturally specified product to a wide range of industries across NZ, think large scale manufacturing facilities, commercial builds, supermarkets and distribution centres. They are well know, progressive and paving change across the industry with their designs and unique product!

We are looking for a motivated Key Account Manager to represent the brand across the North Island and work with some of our larger customer accounts. Predominantly this territory is Auckland, but there is room for alot of growth some travel may be required.

The successful applicant will have a proven track record of successful account management. You will be passionate and have natural sales skills and a high level of emotional intelligence to be able to understand and communicate with stakeholders at all levels – working between a semi corporate environment and a trade’s person environment. You might be an existing key account manager, business development manager or sales representative. This is a unique role that is a great blend of hunting and farming - So we will look at sales people from all backgrounds!

What do you need?

* Minimum of 5 years in a territory sales role ( or Key account management / business development )
* Experience in Technical Quoting in either a construction, engineering or manufacturing environment
* Exposure to architectural specifications & tender management is a bonus
* Have a strategic sales mindset, a big picture thinker is a must!
* The ability to work autonomously - this is a self managing role!
* An excellent outlook with a natural affinity to sales development
* A REALLY good sense of humour! This company loves a laugh!

Your role will encompass all things estimation, take offs, variations, reading plans, interpreting drawings, quoting, dealing directly with contractors and architects.
