Technical Lead required for a recently formed team of 8-12 developers, greenfield opportunity to rebuild a legacy application within an enterprise scale environment.
We’re looking for a hands-on Technical Lead/Lead Developer to guide and mentor a newly established team of 8 (growing to 12) developers who will be re-engineering a legacy solution on to a modern microservices based application stack. Building a brand new solution based on a Java/Openshift microservices back end with a single page web app front end.
We’re keen to see leadership, mentoring and technical accountability in your current role. Technically, we’d be seeking the following knowledge:
• Extensive Java development experience (Java 8+, Spring, Spring Boot). (An understanding of .NET and/or front-end development would be beneficial, but not essential).
• API development and integration (REST/JSON, SOAP/XML, message queues)
• Database systems (Oracle, SQL Server)
• Container-based platform experience (Docker, Openshift)
• CI/CD pipeline automation (Jenkins)
You would also need to show a proven background working within a fully agile environment.
You’ll be across both operations and architecture groups developing scalable and supportable solutions, You will be spending your day working alongside other developers, testers, BA’s, designers and product owners and you need to be able to communicate complex technical issues and be good at asking hard questions, at the right time.
