About the role

My client has been operating in NZ for over 30 years and are adapting with a rapidly changing digital world to ensure their sustainability with modern technology. Currently they have a number of projects underway in both the public and private sector and are seeking a Technical Lead with a passion for technology to join their team. You will have strong people skills with the ability to understand, motivate and mentor a development team from a diverse background.

You'll work closely with the Development Team Lead to ensure the team are developing soltuions in a manner consistent with the company's strategic goals. You'll provide guidance in refining Agile and will get involved in discussions around architectural decisions. You'll mentor developers in best practice, software design, coding and testing standards.

As well as hands on coding on a daily basis, you will regularly review code and documentation as well as participate in wider group discussions on Coding & API Standards and Governance process.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills:

• Agile Development experience (Scrum essential)
• .Net Development including:
• ASP.Net Web Forms (C# and VB)
• ASP.Net Core MVC
• Services
• Xamarin Forms
• Azure DevOps (CI/CD Automation)
• Service Orientated Architectures eg Microservices
• RESTAPI principles, design and development
• Strong people skills
• Be a natural leader
