Job description
Our client is seeking a Senior Technical Business Analyst for an initial 6 month contract!
In this role, you will:
- Partner with Product Owner to validate requirements and priority and ensure alignment to value
- Partner with the Product Owner, Engineers and other people in your Squad to uncover dependencies and validate boundaries and sequencing of User Stories
- Work in an agile team, supporting continuous integration / continuous delivery approaches
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define problem statements and translating them into Stories and Backlog items
- Collaborate with Product Owners and Engineers to translate business requirements into workable outcomes for the Squad
- Actively participate in Daily Scrums, Sprint Planning, Reviews and Retrospectives
To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following
- Over 5 years experience in one or more Senior Analyst roles previously, EG: Process Analyst, System Analyst, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Operations Analyst
- Deep domain and system knowledge to turn customer needs into business requirements and workable technology outcomes
- Experience in translating requirements into user stories and acceptance criteria
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Strong documentation skills – selects and uses the right tools for the job
- Ability to build relationship with senior stakeholders within the business and technology
- A desire to continuously learn new techniques / technologies and bring innovative ideas into the Squad
- Has a broad understanding of operations models, frameworks and practices
- Can leverage tools for optimal collaboration (across geographies) and knowledge sharing
- Encourage best practices around reviews, quality and documentation
- Creates estimates and continuously reviews demand within the individual Squads
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and implement solutions to perform more effective and efficient analysis
- Provide ongoing support for the platform as required e.g. problem / incident management
- Optimise workflow management to ensure traceability back to strategic alignment
- Highly desirable - Has an understanding of Cloud concepts including, Automation, Tools, infrastructure as code, security policies as code, SaaS, PaaS, CI/CD pipelines, operating systems for Infra as Code
- Highly desirable – has worked in the Financial Services sector
- Highly desirable – has worked on regulatory compliance projects
