Technical Administrator - Contract Manufacturing

As part of the Gallagher Group, Gallagher Fuel Systems are leaders in the design and manufacture of Fuel Dispensing Systems for use on Fuel Forecourts and have a vibrant electronics manufacturing service covering New Zealand and Australia.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering & NPI Manager, an opportunity exists for a Technical Administrator - Contract Manufacturing to join their team. This role will see you directly contribute to the success of this innovative company.

You will own the technical relationship with Contract Manufacturing clients and drive the production of agreed opportunities through to full product turnkey projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop relationships with key client contacts to understand their business needs and provide relevant solutions
  • Maintain customer parts, Bill of Materials and routes in SAP
  • Write work instructions and create drawings
  • Coordinate quoting for new opportunities
  • Check production quality and sign off samples prior to manufacturing
  • Identify new product development, business requirements

    To be successful you will ideally have the following:

    • Tertiary Qualification in Electrical or Electronics Engineering (or similar)
    • Previous electronics and manufacturing experience
    • Sound administration experience
    • Knowledge of supplier capacity
    • Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts
    • Excellent time management and ability to multi task
    • Planning and organisational skills
    • Intermediate skills in MS Excel
    • Knowledge of SAP (desirable)

      This role is predominately administration based but there will be the opportunity to get hands-on to make your clients product a success.
