Job description

Our client is looking for someone with enthusiasm and determination to join their Tauranga Branch as the PM Team Leader / Line haul Coordinator.

The hours are 3pm - 12am Monday to Friday

The job:

You will be supervising the freight handling operations of the business.

Your main role focus is:

  • Checking inbound freight and unloading
  • Manifesting
  • Dispatching outbound linehaul in a timely manner to meet with schedules
  • Coordination of PUD inbound and outbound freight
  • Managing the truck fleet to its fullest potential - minimise downtime, and nonproductive work issues
  • Report data output from the Line haul system
  • Report FIB holdover freight daily
  • Effectively manage day to day related administration tasks
  • Ensure that all orders are picked, packed and despatched in line with customer timelines
  • Load/Unload Containers as is necessary to meet line haul schedule
  • Create and maintain great customer service relationships
  • Actively promote health and safety to all team members

    To be considered for the role, you will need:

    • Proven experience in transport/freight industry (2-4yrs preferred)
    • Supervisory experience
    • Intermediate computer and Microsoft Office skills
    • Qualification in a relevant field preferred, not essential
    • To be a genuine team member with a great attitude and excellent time management skillset who can work under pressure and to deadlines
