Stores Person

Manufacturing and Production

Job description

Our client brings together various parts of the supply chain to create a balance by redefining the end-to-end cargo flows, consolidating freight and improving connectivity between transport modes and freight hubs.

Priority Logistics is part of our client, one of Aotearoa New Zealand's leading and most innovative freight management companies. Our main aim is to exceed customer expectations while reducing waste in the Aotearoa New Zealand logistics network.

We have multiple warehouse sites in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, and Canterbury. We provide a supportive work environment and a modern, well-maintained fleet of forklifts. Our Storepersons have a reputation for being hardworking, dedicated, reliable, and loyal.

A high standard of Health and Safety is required. This role requires some manual handling and the use of hoists. It would put you a step ahead (but is not critical) if you have certification/s related to warehousing, for example, MPI AP.

If you meet all the following criteria, we want to hear from you:

  • Committed to Health and Safety
  • Forklift Licence or Certificate
  • Secondary school level English and Maths, or equivalent
  • Have a positive, enthusiastic attitude, with a strong results-focussed work ethic

    The Requirements

    Essential

    • English and Maths at Year 11/NCEA Level 1 (previously 5th Form/School Cert), or equivalent
    • OSH Fork Hoist Licence
    • A proven track record in being part of a successful, fast paced environment that calls for attention to detail, where we work as one

      Preferred

      • Familiarity with a Warehouse Management System (or demonstrated ability to learn)
      • MPI Accreditation for AP
      • Class 2 Heavy Hoist License
      • Previous Store Experience

Be ready to work at pace with us including interviews, reference checks, Ministry of Justice checks, and drug and alcohol testing. Please note that employees may be subject to post-incident, just cause, and random testing.

All applicants must have the legal right to work in New Zealand as determined by Immigration New Zealand.
