Job description

Store person required for a FMCG manufacting site in Paerata. The role would be to provide efficient and effective management of inwards and outwards product and raw materials, control stock rotation and maintain warehouse inventory to quality standards.



Areas of Responsibility

1. WAREHOUSE OPERATION

  • Maintain the warehouse and yard in accordance with RMP standards.
  • Safe and efficient storage of pallets, ensuring damaged pallets are identified and disposed of appropriately.
  • Ensure all products are stored and managed correctly and in line with established SOPs.
  • Keep a clean and safe working environment with daily checks and organisation. Complete cleaning tasks to maintain the Warehouse, yard and machinery to a high standard of hygiene.
  • Operate and maintain preventively warehouse vehicles and equipment, reporting any damaged equipment or plant.
  • Follow quality service standards and comply with procedures, rules and critical hygiene regulations.
  • Promptly report any concerns or deviations to existing policies or procedures to ensure product safety and quality is maintained.

    2. STOCK & DOCUMENT CONTROL

    • Process and prepare orders for delivery or pickup according to schedule (load, pack, wrap, label, ship).
    • Timely completion of all records fully, neatly and legibly.
    • Ensure product safety and quality at all times, including reporting any non-conforming or damaged product incoming, outgoing or in storage.
    • Full inwards goods check process is carried out, incoming damages or discrepancies are recorded and reported appropriately.
    • Receive, unload and place incoming inventory items appropriately, including returns.
    • Carry out daily checks on all MHE and report defects.
    • Complete diary logs into inventory.
    • Organize stocks and maintain inventory.
    • Management of expired materials in responsible area, facilitating any stock write offs in conjunction with the warehouse as required.
    • Picking, checking and sign off of ingredients/product transferred from the warehouse to operations with focus on accurate volumes and ingredient/product detail.
    • Efficient and regular liaison with production coordinators to ensure that all paperwork issued is facilitated in a timely manner.
    • Processing of CDSI / SDEI paperwork for issues and returns from the warehouse to the plants.
    • Receipting of finished products from the staging area back into the warehouse for storage.
