Our Client is 100% Kiwi owned and operated, and has grown from humble beginnings to become New Zealand's biggest grocery distributor, and one of the country's largest organisations. Their Cold Storage warehouse here in Palmerston North caters to all the distribution of chilled and frozen goods to their customers in the Lower North Island.

The Role

We are seeking an individual for a full-time role in our client's cold store distribution centre. The position will be in the selection team with the following responsibilities:

• You will receive orders through an electronic headset, and your role will be to find the products for the order in the warehouse and prepare them for distribution. This will include packing boxes onto pallets and the use of pallet jacks and pump trucks.
• Ensuring that you and the team get all orders out in a timely manner to ensure supermarkets in the lower North Island region are fully stocked.
• Hitting daily performance targets.

  You will need to be physically capable & comfortable working in a cold stores environment, the temperature within the warehouse chiller is 4c.

  Days & Hours

  For the first few weeks you will be required to work Monday to Friday for training. This means that you do not need any previous experience to be successful for this role.

  After training you will then join the rest of your team on the official roster. An example of what this could look like below:

  • 4 x 10.5hr shifts each week - Sunday's will most likely be included. 3 days off each week.

    We are open to negotiation for the right candidate.

    Skills and Attributes

    • Experience in a warehouse environment in any capacity is preferred, but not essential.
    • Someone open to a long-term career in warehousing is ideal.
    • Someone looking for permanent employment is ideal.
