Our client specialises in the formulation, manufacture, and specification of high performance industrial and marine protective coatings throughout Australasia and Southern Pacific regions. They are looking for a Shop assistant to start as soon as possible at their Avondale Site.

The ideal candidate will be fit, healthy and able to do some heavy lifting. You will be dealing with clients while dealing with the day to day orders in the trade paint shop.

Ideally you will have knowledge of, or experience in:
* Warehousing
* Paint and paint related products
* Customer Service
* Sales
* Health & Safety
* Cash Management and Eftpos
* Administration
* Forklift (preferable, but not essential)
* Working on computer systems in a warehouse or retail environment

In addition to the above, you would also need to be:
* Self motivated
* Neat and tidy
* Have great communication skills
* Current NZ Drivers' licence
* Proficient in Microsoft programs and computer literate
* Great Team Player
* Organised
* Able to follow instructions very well

The duties and responsibilities of the role, will include, but not be limited to:
* Assist shop customers and contribute to the operation of the Paint Shop.
* Assist with maximising sales for the Paint Shop and across wider channels.
* Assist with customer orders.
* Assist with organising delivery of goods or provisions of services.
* Assist with Dispatch and Inventory
* General warehouse and shop housekeeping
* Paint tinting
