Our client is a global tech leader hailed as one of the world's largest employers with operations in over 170 countries. They are currently looking for a Storage Infrastructure Specialist to support their clients until March 2022. The successful candidate will provide storage management support and product expertise for the design, implementation and consultancy for storage solutions across various customer accounts.

In this role, you will be expected to:

• Install, manage and support storage solutions (multi-vendor)
  • Install, manage and support backup solutions
    • Provide the highest level of technical support services
      • Implement automation and orchestration solutions
        • Provide design and solutioning input
          • Provide resiliency consultancy services
            • Analyse and resolve escalated problems (break/fix support)
              • Hardware/Software support (vendor liaison including)
                • Development and maintenance of storage standards, procedures, policies (aligned to IBM storage management guidelines and best practices)
                  • Perform technical compliance support work
                    • Upgrade and periodic refresh of solutions
                      • Ensure integrity of supported environments and audit readiness
                        • Provide the leadership team with any requested technical guidance and expertise
                          • Work with change and problem management tools
                            • Provide technical leadership to the problem and incident management teams
                              • 24x7 Support (On-call after hour support) as required
                                • Provide technical leadership to the rest of the team (including mentoring the team members)

                                  To be successful, you must have:
                                  

                                  • Technical knowledge on SAN Disk Storage, Ceph Block Storage, backup & recovery, Software Defined Storage (Spectrum Suite, S Scale etc), SAN Switches (Cisco), RedHat, Automation and Scripting, IT Resiliency (DR)
                                    • Experience in consulting
                                      • Analytical mindset
                                        • Agile and Design Thinking
                                          • Excellent communication and negotiation Skills
                                            • Written and Documentation Skills
