Job description

Our client who manufactures and supplies cutting edge products to the marine sector are looking to appoint a Stock Controller to join their dynamic Auckland based business. As an experienced stock or inventory controller, you will have a proven background in ‘Best Practice’ Stock Control and managing stock levels within a busy business.
This is a ‘sole charge’ position requiring a motivated and results oriented person to take ‘ownership’ of all stock management & movement within the business.
Key Responsibilities
• Ensure all inventory & stock management systems are maintained accurately.
• Purchasing and managing the replenishment of stock within agreed parameters.
• Manage the relationships with suppliers/vendors
• Ensure there is minimal impact with obsolescent stock.
• Complete all Stocktakes in a timely manner
• Maintain and manage the store to ensure adequate space for stock storage & movement
• Ensure the company’s H&S policies and processes are at all times adhered to.
• Manage internal relationships with peers and internal stakeholders.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience as a sole charge stock controller
• Excellent communication & relationship building skills
• Knowledge and experience with ‘Best Practice’ buying & stock movement processes and administration
• Attention to detail is essential
• An interest or experience in the marine sector (preferred)
