Onestaff Dunedin is the leading supplier of temporary staff to a number of large Civil Roading Companies in Dunedin. They require a qualified STMS to assist them with the management of traffic and pedestrian movement across various locations in and around Dunedin

Job Description

You will be working in a team environment under the guidance and instruction of experienced staff, ensuring that fellow employees and the public are kept safe as they move through the work-site.

Tasks include:

• Manage all aspects of the site to achieve safety of the people on site, traffic and compliance
• Communicating with Traffic Controllers, using a hand-held radio to ensure the smooth flow of traffic through the work-site.
• Clearly communicating with the public in a friendly manner.
• Dealing promptly with any breaches, such as vehicles failing to follow your directions.
• Physically able to stand for long periods of time in varying weather conditions.

  Job Requirements

  • Current STMS ticket.
  • Class 1 Driver's licence.
  • Constructsafe Card (preferable).
  • Excellent verbal communication.
  • Ability to resolve any situations of conflict in a calm and professional manner.
