The role involves operating a side by side unit equipment with a 250l tank and pump unit for the sole purpose of the application of AgriChem on the hard surfaces in Tauranga. We are responsible for weed control on all kerb & channel in Tauranga and hard surfaces such as the concrete splitter islands in the middle of roads.

The region is split into 38 areas which need to be sprayed on a regular rotating basis, it takes approx. 8 weeks to do a full round of the city, the role can be affected by rain, so on raining days the operative would work in other others.

Job Spec

• Hard surface spraying + any required garden and re-veg site spraying
• Responsible for lodging all spray work on the TCC council website
• Responsible for the maintenance of Agri chem inventory and H&S compliance
• Responsible for the maintenance of the spray equipment.

  Requirements

  • Class 1 driving licence ( Full, Manual)
  • Growsafe Certificate ( training can be provided for the right candidate)
  • Traffic Management Cert ( training can be provided for the right candidate)
  • Basic computer skills ( entering spray logs on line)
  • Comfortable working without supervision

    The role is Mon- Fri - 40 Hours & General hours are 0700-1530 but happy for someone to start earlier and finish earlier.
