We have a great opportunity for a Site Supervisor based in Tauranga to oversee operations, organise and supervise teams operating across different projects, whilst being the go-to person when dealing with clients. With multiple sites across New Zealand this company has well developed systems, management structures, and market credibility to win jobs and ensure a quality and timely delivery of projects. Due to continued growth we are looking for an experienced, passionate and dedicated Site Supervisor/Team Leader.

Skills & Experience to be successful in this position:
* Extensive interiors or construction experience on large commercial projects
* Have knowledge of New Zealand construction/building codes and legislation
* Strong communication skills - both written and oral
* Ability to run a site with high levels of health and safety
* 3+ years’ experience leading teams within the construction industry
* Great skills at nurturing clients’ relationships
* Experience with scheduling work and staff
* Solid understanding of all Health and Safety protocols and processes
* Experience overseeing large sites and projects that are deadline oriented
* Excellent communication skills with employees, peers and clients
* A disciplined, self-motivated approach to effective time management
* Ability to work as part of a team with great interpersonal skills
* Ability to read plans and build structures according to specifications
* Willingness to travel and be away from home for long periods of time
* Experience in erection of structures at height.

Scaffolding, Roofing, building experience or similar would be an added advantage.

The ideal candidate will have the ability to organise crews and equipment for installations, keep record of products and identify Hazards.

They will also be doing quality checks and making sure structures are installed as per instructions and plans. They will be hands-on, working with their teams and be fluent in English, both written and verbal with a sound understanding of health and safety in construction.
