Our client is an international civil and infrastructure company with a local focus on projects within the beautiful and sunny Bay of Plenty region. The area has experienced substantial growth and with that comes new civil and construction ventures.

With this progress, an exciting new role for a Site Engineer with a minimum of 2 years civil industry experience has become available. This role is based in Tauranga.

The role:

This exciting opportunity will see you based on the site working closely with forepeople, supervisors, subcontractors. You are responsible for the materials/ specific orders are met to ensure the crews can do their job.

You are also responsible for the daily QA testing on site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Project Manager
  • QA testing
  • Ordering/procurement
  • Health and safety- leading by example and embracing the company principles
  • Champion the key values of the company

    Essential experience

    • Tertiary qualification or equivalent in Engineering or Business Management
    • Enthusiastic and proactive person with the ability to work in a varied team environment - working closely with supervisors, contractors, management
    • Proven knowledge and understanding of the day to day job requirements and needs of a project
    • Procurement experience - ordering materials for the job
    • Able to take the responsibility of daily QA testing ,
    • Demonstrate and encourage a great team culture
    • Proven oral and written communication skills
