Services Engineering Manager

We are recruiting on our client’s behalf, for a Services Engineering Manager to oversee new commercial projects across the Waikato region.

Work and live in the vibrant City of Hamilton.  Situated on the banks of the mighty Waikato river, Hamilton is New Zealand’s largest inland city with excellent schools, affordable cost of living and a booming economy.

This role will be responsible for ensuring that the Living and Breathing parts of the project such as electrical, HVAC, comms and plumbing aspects are installed and perform effectively and efficiently. You will be responsible for the overall project management of these functions from inception to completion of the project to the highest of New Zealand standard.

The ideal candidate will have solid experience in a similar role and would be a capable engineer from either electrical or HVAC engineering background within building services.  Your excellent organizational skills will assist you in meeting tight construction deadlines and your technical ability will see you understand complex submissions and liaise with the engineering consultancy firms on a regular basis.  

Duties and responsibilities would include, but not be limited to:
* Oversee all wired services and trades from inception to completion of each project
* Monitoring the installation of services and managing their maintenance program within guarantee periods once the building is completed
* Ensuring all building services meet NZ building codes, health and safety requirements and environmental legislation.
* Liaising with plumbers, electricians, surveyors, architectural technologists, and other construction professionals daily
* Attend and minute site services meetings
* Assist the building services team in delivering and commissioning services on construction projects as required.
