About the role

My client is a Professional and Managed Services provider with a track record of success, operating nationwide for almost 30 years. As part of their continual growth and drive for success, as well as recent business growth through acquisitions, this organisation is looking for a Senior Test Analyst to help with a major client implementation as well as define and implement the internal test practise and strategy for the organisation, working closely with the Head of Transition to do so.

You will provide strategic direction, undertake test planning, determine resource and all environment requirements. You will also be required to undertake test execution yourself where required. You'll work closely with the Project Team and functional teams to ensure standard processes are in place for all teams, to increase productivity, efficiency and drive standardisation within the business.

Your responsibilities will also include:

• Producing test scripts, materials and regression test packs
• Complete docuomentation outlining testing results to reduce the impact of application and infrastructure defects
• Develop testing schedules to optimise testing resource availability
• Construct process and equipment recommendations to improve effectiveness of testing processes
• Interpret, execute and document complex test scripts using agreed methods and standards
• Maintain defect register
• Report on system quality and collect metrics for test cases
• Manage technical resources to deliver testing, using a variety of testing techniques and needed
• Once test strategy and practise is implemented, building and managing a team of testing resources

To be successful in this role, you will need the following:

• 5+ years of practical testing experience
• Strong experience of testing infrastructure / networking solutions
• Ability to mentor others and impart knowledge
• Relevant qualification (eg ISTQB)
• Demonstrated ability to mange testing environments
• Ability to understand client needs and priorities
• Knowledge of IT Architecture, IT Design and integration, network architecture, Network Technologies, and Service Support
• Excellent communication skills
• The legal right to work in NZ
