Our Client is a Tier One Construction Company heavily involved in major commercial projects in the Nelson region. Due to consistent increases in the level of new work and project wins, this long standing company are now in a position to recruit a Senior Quantity Surveyor.

    Your main duties and responsibilities include:

    • Accurately estimate and prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations
    • Prepare tenders, offers of service and contract documentation
    • Support the project management team with costing advice
    • Manage the procurement of subcontract and supplier packages
    • Preparation of monthly financial contract review process
    • Oversee the accurate pricing, agreement and processing of project variations all to meet the contract timelines.
    • Work with clients and their representatives to meet, and where appropriate anticipate and influence their needs

      To be successful in this role you will have the following attributes:

      • Knowledge of contractual obligations
      • At least 5-7 years previous experience in Quantity Surveying
      • Ability to plan, monitor and control cost
      • Excellent knowledge of construction materials
      • Disciplined and self motivated with a positive approach to work
      • Customer focused and committed to providing a high quality of service
      • Effective interpersonal skills and be able to work as part of a team
      • Effective time management skills
