This is a relatively new business in the corporate and commercial interiors market with owners and senior management coming from larger well-established corporate companies and interiors fit out contractors. The projects vary between $200K - $3M and clients are well known corporate brands. As the business grows, the Directors are looking for a talented Estimator/QS that is interested to grow with the business. This business promises significant growth working in a team culture that is vibrant, passionate and fun.

The role itself is to work is split between estimating and quantity surveying, the goal to ensure the financial and contractual interests are carefully managed delivering projects to budget.

The role is broad and will encompass:

• Estimating
• Tendering
• Supplier negotiations and selections
• Cost reporting/variation management
• Contract Administration
• Some project Management

The ideal background for this role would require you to:

• Have at least 6- 7 years of estimating/quantity surveying experience gained in a quality main/interiors contractor
• Be tertiary qualified with Bachelor of Construction Economics/Diploma in Quantity Surveying
• Have strong trade relationships in the industry with subcontractors
• Be experienced in cost estimating software and project manager systems
• Be open to learning technology
• Possess drive and self-motivation with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Be a team plyer and can work within a “work hard play hard” type culture

This represents an excellent opportunity for an estimator/QS looking to step outside of a main commercial contractor or another run of the mill interiors contractor. It may suit an estimator currently working on relatively larger projects but be looking to step into an interiors project environment with the chance to take on more accountability and ownership working with a forward-thinking progressive organization.

Pending experience this role is looking to remunerate anywhere between $120K - $160K
