Job description

YOU WILL NEED TO BE A NEW ZEALAND CITIZEN OR PERMANENT RESIDENT FOR A MINIMUM OF FIVE YEARS TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE. YOU MUST ALSO BE ABLE TO GAIN SECRET CLEARANCE.

The purpose of the role is to architect and design information structures in shared information environments that support the finding and managing of information.

The focus of this assignment is to undertake the user research and analysis to inform, then write a project brief for enterprise search.

Specific duties are:

  • Identify user requirements through workshopping, researching and analysing user needs, preferences, objectives and working methods
  • Studying how users currently consume content; and evaluating current information structures, such as metadata, taxonomy and labelling
  • Articulate the high level requirements for better search to enable easier to find information across key information repositories
  • Draft a high-level project brief articulating the objectives, overview and benefits
