Job description

In this temporary role you will be assisting with all accounting functions necessary in the preparation of the monthly accounts through to trial balance for a portfolio of clients.

Duties may include:

  • Prepare and enter monthly invoices
  • Liaising with clients on a daily basis
  • Code and enter all suppliers invoices and staff expense claims
  • Manage Inventory Purchases and Receipt items on arrival
  • Ensure timely receipt and banking of client payments
  • Prepare and manage the monthly payment of all suppliers
  • Prepare and manage weekly payroll for clients
  • Prepare bank reconciliations for each client and assist with cash flow management
  • Enter timesheets and prepare time and cost reports as required
  • Prepare GST and PAYE returns
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts as required
  • Assist with other financial and administrative functions as required

To be successful in this role you will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of 2 years of previous accounting skills
  • Experience and knowledge gained in an NZ organisation
  • Advanced skills in various accounting packages such as Exonet, MYOB or Xero
  • Advanced level Microsoft Excel skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Have customer service focus and previous experience in dealing with clients
  • Must have excellent communication skills
