They are leaders in their field, supplying products across the civil, building, industrial & plumbing sectors. This is a nationwide business with a branch network, distribution and head office function. This organisation is known for its technical expertise, quality products and exceptional customer service.

They are seeking an experienced Technical Sales professional to develop and maintain sales of a range of products across the industrial and construction space. Working across gaining specification on a range of projects, as well as managing the Reseller channel to a smaller extent and building relationships with Contractors and Sub Contractors across the board.  

More about the role:

  • Manage a wider Canterbury area, along with Otago and the West Coast
  • Offer individual solutions for your varied clients across industrial predominately and construction
  • Quotation pricing and management of pricing for specialist applications
  • Be across projects at early stages and remain close throughout, to a range of stakeholders to influence the specification
  • Manage and coordinate projects with all stake holders
  • Carry out a regular and ongoing call cycle
  • Facilitate customer product and installation training sessions
  • Conduct sales and technical presentations to consultants through to end users
  • Ongoing New Business Development across a range of channels
  • Be across all health and safety requirements 

The successful candidate will have the following skills and attributes:

  • 3 to 5 years in a similar technical sales role
  • Mechanical/Technical nous
  • Understanding of a supply chain planning environment
  • Aptitude in decision making and working with numbers
  • Ability to be able to travel overnight approximately 4 nights a month
  • Strong communication skills
  • Specification exposure
  • Highly motivated and self-managing
  • Proven success in creating opportunities
