Our client is one of the industry leaders in the supply of tools, safety equipment, workshop machinery and accessories. They are owned and operated by a team of kiwi trades people who are knowledgeable and passionate about tools.

We are looking for a Sales Assistant to join the team in the Hastings store on a full-time ongoing assignment, with the possibility of a permanent contract for the successful candidate. Your day to day duties will include retail sales, providing customer support, stocking shelves, liaising with suppliers and working alongside the manager for stock purchasing and pricing.

The hours of work for this role will be 8am-5:30pm Tuesday to Friday and 9am-1pm Saturdays, however you may be required to work the occasional Monday to cover staff leave etc.

    Our successful candidate will ideally have the following attributes;

    • High standards of customer service and professionalism
    • Experience in a retail setting or sales position preferred but not essential
    • Knowledge of tools an advantage
    • Strong communication skills
    • Good level of computer literacy
    • Be physically fit and capable
