FishServe is currently looking for a Registry Analyst to support the Applications Manager and assist in the operational delivery of all our systems. There are several key systems that we manage and it will be your job to learn these and become a 'superuser' with a technical spin and a client focus. You will be an essential asset in enabling FishServe to provide easy to use systems to our clients while ensuring that any changes or enhancements are tested and released successfully. You will also assist the Applications Manager in providing appropriate procedures and training for our frontline operations team and provide them with support on technical queries regarding the software so you will need to be able to think on your feet.

There will also be a focus on data analysis for the commercial fishers who use the software. When asked to report on their data requests, you will be able to breakdown the data into a clear report for ease of understanding. There is also room for the right candidate to input their analytical thoughts to improve and develop our current systems.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assist the Applications Manager in working with the internal operations team to ensure all systems and software are fit for purposes and meeting client needs.
  • Helping resolve any technical issues that may arise.
  • Utilising data from software and conducting data analysis for internal and external requests.
  • Recognise areas of development to continually improve business process and software.

    About you:

    • Experience in the fishing industry is not essential but a willingness to learn and understand the industry is a must. You will become an expert in the industry over time!
    • Either a background in data analysis and/or client services with the ability demonstrate your problem-solving skills
    • Proficient in Microsoft Suite particularly Excel.
    • A strong written and verbal communicator and a good listener. You'll be dealing with other members of the internal team and external clients. You'll need to be able to interact with a range of people and adapt your communication style accordingly.
    • The ability to work individually and as part of a team, to be self-motivated and to work with a minimum amount of supervision.

      This is an ideal role for someone with a strong logical mindset with good interpersonal skills wanting to start their career towards being a business analyst. There is a real opportunity to progress for the right candidate.
