About the opportunity:

This is an amazing opportunity for a motivated and energetic people-oriented sales or recruitment professional to join our Adecco Northwest team based in our new offices in Westgate, Auckland! No two days are ever the same - so if you're looking for a challenge, keep on reading!

As a Recruitment Consultant, you will enjoy the challenge of running a 360-degree desk in a fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for servicing clients and candidates and ensuring all parts of the recruitment equation are considered at every turn. Driving your desk for success will be vital, and whilst taking on an established client base from day one, it's critical that the successful candidate is someone who enjoys and gets a kick out of hunting for new business, whilst having the skill to be able to convert new clients into longstanding established partners of Adecco.

While recruitment is not a 9 to 5 role, it is certainly a way of life. Your passion for meeting people from all walks will be high on your priority list, and being driven to learn about industry will be front and centre for you. You may be a seasoned recruiter or an industry specialist in the civil and construction fields. Either way, a fascination in seeing how NZ's economy ticks over will stand you in great stead.

Being passionate to help others and focused on driving long term mutually beneficial relationships will help you in the role too. The role also requires a strong focus on business development, candidate development, placement and of course post-placement care.

We're looking for someone who can:

  • Own the end to end recruitment process
  • Demonstrate a strong empathy for all walks within the recruitment life cycle
  • Seek, establish and maintain effective client relationships through personal visits and core client cycles
  • Conduct effective job briefings and needs analysis with clients to match them with the best possible talent for their requirements
  • Ensure that candidates receive outstanding care at all times
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen and analysis of finances
