Job description

We are currently recruiting for a well respected Christchurch owned & operated engineering firm.

Working with 3 others in the stores area, as the purchasing officer you will be responsible for maintaining stock levels in the engineering stores department.

Duties will include:

  • Liaising with storeman & investigating stock variances
  • Solving issues causing problems with stock inventory
  • Tracking orders to ensure timely delivery times are met and providing accurate ETA's
  • Manage stock locations in the store area
  • Develop & maintain supplier relationships
  • Supporting the engineering and purchasing team

    Ideally you will:

    • Have experience in purchasing
    • Come from an engineering background
    • Be a team player and a great communicator
    • Be highly motivated and organised
    • Able to work with various databases and computer systems
