Job description

Our client in the Government Sector is seeking a Project Scheduler, to work on a technology project!

They're ideally looking for someone with advanced experience in MS Project and schedule management, who can ideally start before the end of April and the expected end date would be April 2020!

The responsibilities & accountabilities will include:

  • Experience in use of MS Project in a complex project environment
  • Understand the scope of work and the inter-relationships between key tasks, milestones, and deliverables
  • Design and develop project schedule
  • Undertake the day-to-day management of project plans, including scheduling and resource assignment, and tracking of progress
  • Test information provided by the project team for logic, common sense and completeness by asking the right questions
  • Evaluate project schedule progress and performance and identify developing problem areas
  • Analyse critical path and constraints to determine effect of changes to schedule and recommend work-arounds
  • Conduct analysis to determine alternative courses of action or recovery on slipped schedules
  • Coordinate project-related information and record it in the appropriate system
  • Review and maintain project registers for risks/issues/dependencies relating to the schedule
  • Assist project team to develop and maintain periodic status reports to keep management informed on project progress
  • Reports on project contingency, and schedule risks and opportunities
  • SAP and Payrol experience would be highly adventageous
