Job description

Our client is a leading provider of steel based products to the New Zealand and Autralian markets and they are currently seeking to employ a Procurement Specialist to join their busy Auckland Head Office. You will be responsible for the procurement of the company's core products, which are predominantly sourced from offshore suppliers in Asia & Europe. You will also be responsible for analysing and monitoring sales and order volumes to ensure the accuracy and consolidation around purchase volumes

Key responsibilities

  • Procurement of products into the company's national branch sites
  • Analysing and monitoring sales and order volumes
  • Monitoring stock levels
  • Supplier engagement and management
  • Negotiating supplier pricing and contracts
  • Liaising with internal company stakeholders
  • Providing management reporting as required

Key selection criteria

  • Relative tertiary qualification
  • 2-3 years procurement experience
  • Industrial procurement background
  • Analytics experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work in a team
  • NZ Residency or valid work permit
