Job description

Getting straight to the nitty gritty - we are looking for a candidate with 3 years plus experience in a procurement role whom can immediately take the on a comprehensive procurement plan and deliver on it.

The ideal candidate will have an ability to be hands on with all aspects of order placement, follow up, tracking as well as vendor management and have highly developed analytical skills. You will ensure that all procurement activity is delivered in a professional, effective and efficient manner whilst considering the strategic and operational impacts of purchases and advising the business appropriately.

The position responsibilities include:

·        Providing procurement advice and support.
·        Delivering value for money on relevant supplier expenditure.
·        Working collaboratively with senior procurement staff
·        Liaising between the organisation and designated suppliers.
·        Initiate procurement projects to identify cost saving opportunities
·        Accountable for the MRP plan

Ideally you will have:

·        Procurement experience supported by a relevant tertiary qualification.
·        Broad knowledge of the practical application of current procurement best practice.
·        Excellent written and oral communication skills.
·        Interpersonal skills that allow you to negotiate and maintain good client/supplier relations.
·        An ability to think logically and strategically
·        In depth knowledge of the tools and techniques used in supply chain management.
·        Navison would be strongly preferable
