Job description

Our client is seeking an experienced press hand operator to join their busy team based right here in Hamilton City.

This role is hot off the press and would ideally suit someone looking for a career and not just a temporary position.

Hours of work:

40 hour week fortnight shifts, Monday - Friday 6.00am- 2.00pm or Monday - Thursday 1.30pm -11.30am

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with wash ups and roll changes on all presses
  • Get ink ready and mixed for the next job
  • Stock to the press for the next job
  • Anilox cleaning
  • Plates/Sleeves: maintaining. mounting and stripping
  • Cutting cores for all jobs
  • Cutting back stock from cores
  • Print labels, prepare rolls for Rotoflex operator.
  • Use all safety equipment provided when necessary
  • Safe conduct of oneself and colleagues around all factory facilities
  • Proactive help and support fellow colleagues
  • Maintain personal appearance and company clothing to a high standard
  • Any employee may be required to perform any reasonable duties as the employer may from time to time require.
