OneStaff are seeking an experienced Plumber to join a locally owned prefabricated homes team in Timaru.

Our client are experts in the construction of prefabricated homes for clients ranging from first home buyers to commercial projects. From their factory in Timaru they design and build quality homes for satisfied customers across the South Island.

This role will largely be based in their Timaru factory, installing plumbing services as well as on site connections. Working hours will generally be Monday to Friday and based in the factory, but due to the nature of work, hours and location may vary on occasion.

  The successful candidate will:

  • Be a qualified plumber licensed by the NZ Plumbing, Gas-fitting and Drainlaying board.
  • Have a full NZ driving license
  • Proven experience in Plumbing backed up with at least two relevant work references
  • Sound knowledge of NZ plumbing codes
  • Consent to pre-employment drug testing

    Daily task will include:

    • Installation of plumbing services
    • On site connections
    • Organising council inspections
    • Maintaining high standards of quality, working to ensure all homes pass their pressure test inspections
    • Issue all relevant certificates for gas/liquid heating
    • Work alongside the production team to ensure production schedules are maintained
