Our client is a reputable local engineering company who provides industrial services/ utilities solutions for the food and dairy industry nationwide. Due to increased workload, they are now seeking for an experienced drafter to start on a short-term contract with the possibility to go permanent.

This is an office based role where you will be producing engineering drawings of complex piping systems for a wide range of industrial and manufacturing facilities. Piping experience is essential, otherwise you must have extensive professional experience in HVAC, industrial refrigeration, building services, energy utilities or a related mechanical field . Please note that those from an architectural drafting background will not be suitable.

As part of an agile team, there are opportunities to become a permanent drafter, mechanical engineer or project manager upon the completion of the urgent jobs required for the season. Alternatively, this role could suit overseas Kiwis who have just come home and are seeking to keep busy temporarily before committing to long-term plans.

In summary, the requirements for this roles are,
* Extensive experience with AutoCAD
* A tertiary qualification in mechanical engineering
* Previous drafting experience with industrial pipes, HVAC, refrigeration systems or similar is essential
* Good communications and can work independently
