People & Culture Business Partner

Human Resources and Personnel

Job description

This organisation loves tracking the nitty gritty stuff that ultimately become trends. They seriously get a kick out of what they do and produce and today, they are cranking up the pace. They are adopting new internal methodology, getting more comfortable with ‘fluidity and ambiguity’ and are happily trying out new things as they continue an exciting journey of change to ensure they continue to meet the needs of NZ into the future.

Change management rigor, recruitment and talent management, remuneration and benefits knowledge and workforce planning that looks at the skills of the future are critical to this evolution. It’s about taking current staff on the journey and seeking change focused individuals to join them. This is where you come in.

We’re looking for a resilient person who likes being smack-bang in the thick of the action. With a combination of the above it’s about perceptively identifying issues, taking a lead with them before they become a problem, shifting perceptions and influencing positive outcomes across the organisation.

You’ll be as happy dealing with BAU as you will be providing strategic and tactical solutions and taking on bold people projects that will give you the opportunity to drive change and navigate improvements.

Your intuitive relationship building skills will be key as you work to becoming a trusted advisor to busy managers and a sounding board for your team. And by the way… the Head of People & Culture and the team await you with enthusiasm!

An agile, experienced HR generalist, with a proven record of success at the senior level, you’ll be able to draw on your experience from both private and public arenas where the pace has been swift.

From your employee relations nous and sound management coaching skills to experience implementing people and career development strategies, you’ll impress those around you with your ability to lead difficult discussions and influence outcomes.

In addition to working with like-minded people who ardently share your commitment to service, continuous improvement, helping us understand NZ at a deeper level and quietly enjoying the wins along the way…you can look forward to a competitive salary, quiet spaces/noisy spaces/flexible working polices, a breadth of opportunity to set you up for the future, a refreshingly open culture and the freedom to operate as you should.

Add remote working, learning and development opportunities and a good shot of the social stuff that’s still so important – and you have one very attractive position!
