My client is a high-profile commercial business of significant scale that is currently experiencing exceptional organisational growth, and expansion having won a number of significant tenders across New Zealand. Due, to this growth they are looking at a payroll and Accounts Payable Administrator to join their finance team. Based in Penrose, reporting to the Financial Controller you would be responsible for processing weekly payrolls, year-end reconciliations, and processing of domestic payments. This is a full time 42.5 hours a week role.

 

 

Key Responsibilities: -

·        Timely processing of weekly payroll for approx. 250 to 300 staff

·        Regular account processing and invoicing

·        Review pay reports including gross pay, net pay, deductions, PAYE and annual leave

·        Prepare payroll journals to record salaries, taxes and leave entitlements

·        Ensure accurate treatment of Withholding Tax contractors

·        Strong understanding of relevant employment and payroll legislation

 

Your profile

·        Minimum of 3 years of New Zealand payroll and understating of legislations

·        Experience in a fast-paced operating environment and managing competing deadlines for multiple stakeholders

·        Professional and sensitive to confidential nature of the work

·        Bachelor’s degree and working towards your Chartered Accountant

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to build rapport with stakeholders
