Job description

PURPOSE OF POSITION: To optimise resource use, ensure packing targets are met, ensure all compliance procedures are followed and to ensure all health and safety processes and food safety and quality are followed while carrying out a variety of tasks in the packaging areas and to support the packing team develop the Manufacturing function towards World Class standards

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational effectiveness

  • Full compliance of company rules
  • Operations of machinery and equipment as per safe operating procedures.
  • Effectively move between packing areas to assist.
  • Active role to achieve OEE and Waste on target.
  • All online and required documentation completed accurately and timely
  • Active involvement in, and attendance at departmental meetings

    Food Safety and Quality

    • Complete Quality Assurance and Food safety Induction and Competency quality assessment. Attend all relevant training programs.
    • Ensure all Food Safety and Quality incidents are accurately reported and recorded within specified time frames.
    • Executes Start up procedure and machine/equipment set ups, operational processes and cleaning processes correctly.
    • Ensure personal hygiene and uniform company policies, site minimum expectations and standards are strictly adhered to.
    • Performs effective on line quality attribute checks, product evaluation and monitoring.

      Health and Safety

      • Completes SHE safety induction
      • Attend all relevant safety training programs
      • Complete WALK's to achieve Departmental targets and ensure interaction/ discussions and documentation is completed.
      • Active role in Hazard identification/reporting.
      • TALK's- Attending and participation in all meetings.
      • Ensure all workplace incidents are accurately reported and recorded within the specified timeframes.

        People

        • Ensure own leadership behaviours are consistent with the vision, goals and priorities for GFNZ.
        • Make an active contribution to the team environment, through sharing knowledge and collaborating with others to build a high performing team.
        • Ensure commitment and clear understanding of GFNZ policies and procedures and adhere to the principles at all times.
        • Ensure development plans are created, discussing strengths, development areas and career goals with your manager. Review plan regularly and seek support and feedback when required.

              Experience Required:

              • Manufacturing experience, preferably in food production industry

                Qualifications Required:

                • Health and Safety certificates preferred
                • Food Safety and Quality certificates preferred
