Summary

We are looking for a Network Specialist to assist one of our client's, a global technology organisation. You will be responsible for the ongoing support of the Network Infrastructure across a diverse commercial portfolio. The position will include implementing projects, transition, and BAU support across client environments, and all related business controls and documentation associated with devices under management.



Duties and responsibilities

  • WAN/LAN, Router Switch and Firewall problem determination and implementation work.
  • BAU support of the network infrastructure including changes, problem determination/resolution, achieving SLA targets, change/problem management.
  • Problem determination associated with new project installs.
  • Handover of devices to Secure Access team, ensuring all support documentation and diagrams are complete and accurate.
  • Work closely with Design team to ensure that proposed solutions are accurate and achievable


    Skills required

    • Proven experience in a large scale implementation role
    • Understanding of relevant network protocols, services, management tools and problem conditions, including QOS, IP-SLA, WLCM, PoE and Jitter
    • Experience in deployment and operational use of Network Access Control mechanisms
    • Experience with Cisco devices is required, with Cisco CCNA or CCNP level of experience.
    • Excellent problem determination skills especially with experience in working with 3rd parties
    • Strong Customer Service skills

      • Occasional afterhours support required - this will be on a rotating roster basis
