.NET Developer - payments or finance systems experience essential - PERMANENT 

**GR8 manager, GR8 team, Agile projects AND career advancement options galore! 

  • $105,000-$110,000 per annum PLUS Kiwisaver, FAB team, some flexi hours available!

About the organisation

The position is based in the head office of a high profile government agency. They employ around 3,500 people nationwide, and about 1,200 of those are based here in their Head Office in Wellington.

The organisation is carrying out some of the biggest IT programme initiatives being carried out in New Zealand at the moment, so they are a busy bunch of people with a lot of interesting and varied professional involvement to offer you.

About the role

First of all, it is important to note that their team is focused on carrying out IT development for payment and funding systems so they are looking for someone who has had exposure to working as a Developer for systems relating to financial systems, accounting systems, banking systems or something similar.

A good deal of the work is focused on end-to-end projects, and thus you will be involved in all aspects of the systems development life cycle.

In addition, you will be involved in guiding and mentoring less experienced Developers on a day-to-day basis.

What they are looking for in your CV:

Strong experience as a .NET Developer

Experience of mentoring more junior team members

Experience implementing web based development technologies, e.g. ASP.NET, MVC and WebAPI

A good knowledge of SQL Server

Experience developing stored procedures and database design

A good understanding around applications such as SSIS, SSRS and Azure would be really helpful

Experience of working with Agile software development methodologies, production support and test driven development would also be a HUGE benefit.

NOTE: they are happy to negotiate some flexibility around work hours if needed!
