Our client is a family run business who are a leading manufacturer of Heavy Transport and Equipment for Australia and New Zealand. You will join an organisation that values staff, has a fun active social club and encourages development.

They in search of a National Sales Manager to join their team in Hamilton. The National Sales Manager will be responsible for leading safe, profitable sales operations for the business unit in association with sales budgets. They will be responsible for the management of personnel, including professional development, administration, and discipline in line with company policies and processes. They will be expected to call on established customers, seek new customers and actively work towards achieving agreed set business profitability targets. They will also provide assistance to management and staff in the execution of specific sales, warehousing, and logistics functions to meet the company objectives.

The ideal candidate will be experienced in transport parts with a proven knowledge of commercial vehicles.

###Additional Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* New Business Development
* Management of commercial relationship with existing clients Nationally
* Client Retention and Relationship building
* Sales and after Sales support
* Prepare and manage the tendering process
* Manage the sales activity and provide mentorship to the team.
* Manage the vendor and supplier relationships
* Provide direct support to the sales reps
* Develop Sales plans and sales targets
* Staff Management
* Develop strategic National Account strategies
* Research and develop strategies for new and existing product lines.
* Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities from a similar environment or industry. Experience/knowledge of Hiab/Zepro would be ideal. You will also have leadership skills and proven management experience with the ability to build strong customer relationships. You will have experience in business development and be customer centric.
