What's the job?

We are looking for a multi-skilled individuals in grounds maintenance to deliver and take control of turf on multiple sites based in Central Tauranga.

Some Key Responsibilities include:

• Mowing grass on a scheduled programme basis or for reactive response
• Mechanical edging and blowing down of hard surfaces to ensure sites left clean and tidy
• General site tidy of identified areas for litter and leaf clearance.
• Responsible for maintaining the equipment being used.
• Eyes and ears of site to ensure a high level of standard is maintained.

Skills & Experience

Ideally, you will have an open space maintenance experience as well as…

• Proven experience in a handling turf plant, walker mowers.
• A relevant Turf or Horticulture qualification or certification would be desirable but experience a must.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Personal presentation that positively represents both principal and Citycare.
• Have a strong emphasis on health and safety
• Ability to work too and meet deadlines as well as flexible to enable quick adaption to the changing environment or request.
• Ability to work within a wider team
• Physically fit and motivated to make a difference
• Full Drivers Licence - Class 1 and/or Class 2 (preferred)
