Job description

Our client is a family run business who are a leading manufacturer of Heavy Transport and Equipment for Australia and New Zealand. You will join an organisation that values staff, has a fun active social club and encourages development. They are in need of a dynamic Mechanical Service Manager to manage the day to day running of the department.

The ideal candidate will be someone who is currently in a similar role, or have similar experience from the same industry. You will ideally have experience in heavy vehicles and the automotive trade, with experience in managing a diverse team.

Duties and responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
* Adding business growth value
* Health and Safety Compliance and management
* Cost Control for the department
* Staff Management
* Technical Support
* Oversee daily work performance and quality
* Assist with problem solving, and hands on training and support
* Oversee manufacturer’s warranty processes
* Client and Vendor Relationship Management

You will have knowledge of all mechanical aspects of, preferably, heavy vehicles and knowledge of policies in a mechanical environment and an understanding of management of a service department.

First Line Management and Motor Trade qualification would be advantageous as well as a track record of high attention to detail that ensures standards, regulations and rules are always adhered to and deadlines are met.
